Titleist has not been sitting still and two years of development have gone into polishing the #1 golf ball in the world: the Titleist Pro V1! The result for generation 2021 promises to take the famous golf ball to the next level and be the best performing and most consistent model ever. Titleist used a core-to-cover process (improving each individual layer from core to cover) with the goal of ensuring that all golfers, whether world's best or amateurs, can perform the same type of strokes over and over again. What does that change entail?
For starters, the '2.0 ZG Process Core' has been improved again, which provides more distance in the solid Pro V1 core. The second layer, inherited from the Pro V1x Left Dash, is made from a very resilient and fast ionomer and provides speed and reduces spin on your long shots (driver and low irons). The cover has undergone the most striking change: for the first time in ten years, the dimple pattern has been changed! The 388 dimples pattern is optimized to maximize distance and flight consistency. In addition, the cover is made of urethane elastomer which makes the cover even softer so that you can create more spin on and around the green and thus give more control in the short game.
